I posted about a month ago questioning why gluten free meals are sometimes not advertised by restaurants and cafes. Recently we got a response back from a well known chefs’ restaurant about why they don’t advertise gluten free fish and chips despite doing them. See below:
“We are unable to advertise gluten free due to the preparation areas within our restaurants and production units not being contamination free. Once we advertise “Gluten Free” there are so many legislative guidelines that we have to adhere to, that we would be unable to comply without making major changes within each site.
