What is all this anger? It comes from nowhere, explodes and then goes away again with no trace. It is truly like living in a house with a bomb that goes off without warning, causes distruction and is then gone.
For a while now we have put our daughter’s outbursts of huge anger down to being accidently glutened.
Obviously we know for sure that she was glutened a week ago so are her uncontrollable outbursts due to that or are we just looking for excuses?
Daughter pushes son over hard onto the floor after wrestling the remote control from him.
She gets sent for time out, missing some of the DVD that they were watching.
Screaming, shouting, banging, throwing ensues.
“I hate you”, “I’m going to kill you”…some of the abuse screeched at me through the closed door. I recorded some of it but am too ashamed to share it with you.
We talked about it afterwards when she was calm. She said it made her sad to be so angry but that she couldn’t do anything about it.
I obviously made her say sorry to both of us and when I asked her what she was saying sorry to me for she couldn’t repeat what she had said…she got very upset. So she doesn’t mean it, the anger just takes her over.
The question is how are we supposed to deal with this? I hate confrontation and anger so this behaviour stresses me out! I am hoping that if it is the gluten then it will pass soon…
