Something that puzzles me is when I find a restaurant or cafe that can provide gluten-free food but does not advertise this. I was reminded of this on our recent trip to Cornwall. Rick Stein’s fish and chip shop does the most amazing gluten-free batter for fish, and the chips are fried separately from the fish making them gluten-free too. However, he does not advertise this anywhere and when we asked on our last visit why this wasn’t advertised we were told that Rick himself did not want to do so. WHY I ask? Is gluten-free food inferior in some way???!
