Hi everyone. I am in the process of doing a long project of contacting manufactuers of the key products that we use in our house to check whether there is any risk of gluten contamination. Things like tinned tomatoes, tinned beans, spreads and jams etc.
This is all because my lo continues to have symptoms and we have therefore decided to cut everything out of her diet that we are not totally sure about…so if a packet doesn’t have any gluten-containing ingredients but doesn’t say it is ok I am checking with the manufacturer, and until I get a response will take them out of her diet. So out go all the things that Coeliac UK says are safe because they are below the levels of gluten deemed ok for coeliacs by the European Union (e.g. own brand cereals, malt vinegar etc). It is going to be an expensive exercise but what else can we do?!
Anyway, I have had a very rapid response from Sacla that you can see here. It lists all its products with information as to whether it is gluten-free or not. I wanted to share this as soon as possible and will update you will all the other responses I get as and when I get them…
Enjoy using Sacla products!!!
