Yesterday I popped into Tesco (on my way to meeting an ex-colleague of mine who set up her own business, McAllister and Co – shameless plug for her!) and played a game of i-spy with myself.
These days I tend to try and avoid going to Tesco if I can help it, preferring for them to deliver my shopping to me thus avoiding getting waylaid by things that I really don’t need!
However, yesterday was different since I realised that my little boy didn’t possess a single even remotely clean shirt for school (even after washing and bleaching) and that I therefore needed to buy his third set of shirts since starting school in September!
Whilst there I found myself predictably waylaid by the freefrom aisle (who can resist a quick peek in case there are new things to spot!!) and I came across a number of new breakfast products that I got excited about (I know…I need to get out more!)…
Well, everyone likes a treat when it comes to breakfast, and combined with the new Genius croissants and pain au chocolat, we are pretty well covered now for treat weekends and holidays!
As you know if you read my blog regularly, in the week we always have my breakfast pancakes…with varying amounts of ground almonds depending on whether we want the carbs from the flour or not.
After visiting the ‘freefrom’ aisle and not finding any Easter eggs, I thought I would take a quick look down the Easter aisle.
I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of products that had no gluten, or that had no gluten or milk. It was a very quick look, but none-the-less I found the following. Please note that some of the dark chocolate products said they may contain traces of milk, which is fine for us, but wouldn’t be for some with milk allergies…
