The weekend was very busy! On Friday evening we made the long journey up to London…with the kids repeatedly asking if we were there yet at 20 minute intervals (on a 5 hour journey!)…
It was, of course, in preparation for the Allergy and Freefrom Show that the whole family had been looking forward to…and in particular our daughter who knew that she would be able to try out lots of lovely ‘safe’ food.
I went to the show on my own on Saturday so that I could actually talk to people and catch up with some other fabulous bloggers such as the authors of Le Coin De Mel, Alimentary Bites, Intolerant Gourmand (and her lovely mum!), Allergies My Kids and Me, 7 years to diagnosis, Carrots and Maple Syrup, and Natural Kitchen Adventures. If you are not familiar with these blogs then take a quick peek (but be sure to come back!!!)…they are awesome!
On Sunday I returned to the show with my kids and husband. The kids were terribly excited about being able to eat lots of sweet things (note…horrible mum restricts sugar normally!) and set about demolishing the samples!
After about an hour and a half my daughter declared that she felt a bit sick and was full up!!!! I am not surprised after the amount she packed away!
All in all the show was great for those with coeliac disease/wheat allergy or intolerance or a dairy intolerance/allergy. Calling it an allergy show is a bit misleading I guess because there isn’t much there for those with multiple food allergies…
Having said that we came back happy and I discovered some good products that I might, if my purse allows, buy one day!
Rather than write any more I thought I would share some of those products via a vlog…enjoy!
Please note that some of the products I mention were given to me as free samples. I can assure you that this did not affect my opinion in any way.
I shared this with Honest Mum’s link up:
