Who is the book for?
I wrote the book for anyone who wants to learn how to make pastry. It’s something that I always get asked about because people find it difficult.
It makes the perfect gift for anyone who has recently been diagnosed with coeliac disease or other condition that necessitates a gluten free diet. Print it off, put it into a lovely folder, wrap and gift!
What ingredients will I need to make gluten free pastry?
All of the recipes use my wholegrain gluten free flour blend. I created it because I was dissatisfied with the quality of flour blends on the market. They were all made from white, refined flours with no nutritional value and almost all contain rice flour (which contains arsenic).
In addition to that you’ll need butter (or margarine/oil/lard/coconut oil), eggs, sugar, flax seeds (if making egg free), milk (dairy or dairy free), xanthan gum, baking powder, yeast, tapioca flour and salt to make all four basic pastry recipes.
